3. Skills Circles
Practice in a focused and supportive setting
You can understand a tool completely and still not reach for it when it matters. Under pressure, the old pattern is faster than the new one — not because you’ve forgotten what to do, but because you haven’t done it often enough for it to be the fast one. Skills Circles are where that gap closes.
Thirty minutes, once a week, one tool at a time. Small groups, Tuesdays 12–12:30pm.
How the cycle works
Each session takes a single tool and works it properly, rather than skimming all four:
Week 1 — Experience Triangle — Mapping real situations from your week: what happened, what you thought, what you felt, what you did. You start to see your own chains, not the textbook version.
Week 2 — Comfort Edge — Locating your actual edge, which is different for everyone and different by context. Small deliberate steps, with a group that notices when you take one.
Week 3 — Agency Check — Taking something currently occupying you and sorting it: what’s yours to act on, what isn’t, where your energy is genuinely going.
Week 4 — Pattern Break — Naming a pattern you want to interrupt, and working out concretely what “something different” would look like next time.
Then the cycle begins again. Repetition is the point — the same tool meets a different situation each round, and that’s how it becomes second nature.
Why in a group
Two reasons.
The first: patterns are easier to spot in someone else than in yourself. Once you’ve heard a pattern named out loud by another person, you recognize your own version of it faster. You’ll get more from other people’s work than you might expect.
The second is simpler: turning up weekly for something you’d otherwise postpone is easier when someone’s expecting you. Structure carries you through the weeks when motivation doesn’t.
What to expect
Each tool is explained in full, with examples — and then put straight to work. As we go, you’ll apply every tool to real situations from your own life, so you leave having actually used them, not just heard about them. There’s room for questions throughout.
No preparation needed. No prior therapy experience required.
Who it’s for
Anyone who’s completed the Therapy Accelerator. That shared starting point is what lets a 30-minute session get straight to work — everyone knows the tools, so no time goes to explanation.
